The AZ Outlaws are proud of our comprehensive athletic program and heritage. The collective accomplishments of National team athletes, coaching staff, directors and the board is a testimony to the efforts of many dedicated and talented individuals which include, but is not limited to: the student-athletes themselves, coaches, trainers, administrators, support staff, volunteers, and sponsors. The club also benefits from the strong support of local faculty, students, alumni, and fans. As girls club volleyball has become increasingly popular, we recognize our expanding role in the cultural and social profile here in the West Valley. It is our challenge to represent the club with character, while providing the student-athlete with a rewarding experience both academically and athletically. The Arizona Region of Volleyball is committed to fair, equitable opportunities and treatment for all students, staff, volunteers and all in between; including women, minorities, and all humans and we fall right in line with that.
It is the objective of the AZ Outlaws to compete in as many tournaments as possible at the national level, while staying affordable and practical. This goal complements the institutional commitment to excellence. The AZ Outlaws embrace the ideal of an amateur athletics program, and is pleased to have produced a considerable number of athletes, many of whom have accepted scholarships to Division I, II, and NAIA schools.
In order to have a broad-based, nationally competitive athletics program for these young women, The AZ Outlaws attempts to recruit the finest student-athletes out of the West valley. It is the clubs' policy to recruit only student-athletes who exhibit both an interest in the academic component of scholastics and the potential to succeed in the increasingly competitive environment of the AZ Outlaws, USAV, AAU and Region play. An important element of the recruitment message is that the AZ Outlaws offers so much more than a preeminent athletic experience. The AZ Outlaws recognize that to compete at the national level, it demands a commitment of time and energy from student-athletes not normally required of other young women of their peer group. Consequently, we provide a variety of support services and resources to assist student-athletes with their academic success, personal well being, individual development, and preparation for future endeavors should they choose not to carry on with volleyball after high school\club is over.
